Push notifcation-driven live activity not starting

Hi, I'm having this issue that I have have not been able to figure out as I've gone through a checklist and it seems I have everything in place, but im sending my pushToStartTokenUpdates token to a server and im able to test starting a live activity via CURL where it shows my push token going through and even my test payload but after a while I get this issue in my logs where it fails to find a live activity CleanShot 2025-08-31 at 19.40.17@2x.png

Push notifications are set up, im sending my token to APN and im even able to start live activities locally.

While you say "live activity not starting" in your subject line, the errors you have pasted specifically say "Unable to update live activity".

So, the issue seems to be with the updates, no? Is the live activity starting at all? If not, what are the errors you see in the logs for that?

If it starts fine, then by the time you are trying to update, perhaps the live activity has ended? Or perhaps you are trying to update the wrong activity which is not active?

Yeah well the live activity is not starting at all in the sense that nothing is ever received on my device and the live activity UI is not triggered despite it working locally which I verified through testing.

before the log show the “unable to update live activity”, ill get logs showing the push token successfully going through aswell as my test payload. but Then after that these logs appear
