Are we allowed to use AI-generated images for our Swift Student Challenge Project? The instructions say that we can use third party content but must cite/credit it and be transparent about it. Are we allowed to do the same for AI-generated images? Will this dock points on creativity?

My understanding is YES. If there is any risk to fool user thinking it is real life image, or just to be fully transparent, you should mention "image generated by AI".
Will this dock points on creativity?
- That depends on your app. If it is intended to show your drawing skills, or if the key value of the app are the images, yes.
- If images just provide illustration to help use the app, I guess No.
