I keep getting a fails to open page message when I try to sign in using my Claude ai Pro account. The request was for an http url instead of an https url.

Please let me know at what point are you getting into issues. And make sure you have the correct url with https for your server. The exact error message you're seeing.

Same here, getting stuck in spinner after the callback from Safari
Stuck here forever. Uninstalling and re-installing the Claude Agent did not help
Okay, it is working now. I added my key and all I had to do was select Claude Sonnet 4.5 in the little selection area.

I selected Opus and Sonnet. Is Sonnet 'better' for coding? Maybe leaving it at Default is best. It seems logging into Anthropic requires a paid account. Using a 'free' API lets you use the models for free, for now?
Codex with a 'pay as you go' account is very capable but I'd like to use Claude going forward. I'm more of a hobby coder at this point and the Pro account is 'big' step up. ;-) maybe I should start charging for my apps. Hopefully I'll get a good feel for Claude in it's current configuration and can accept the value added of the paid account. [Just one more subscription]
