Individual enrolment stuck at "ID Verification Rejected" — no detail surfaced, support silent past SLA

Hoping someone has hit and resolved this exact pattern, or can point me to the right escalation path.

I'm trying to enrol in the Apple Developer Program as an Individual (Bengaluru, India). The Apple Developer iOS app shows "ID Verification Rejected" under the Apple Developer Program status — but with no specific reason and no retry button. The app does not surface what was actually wrong with the verification.

What I have already done:

  • Confirmed my Apple Account name ("Adarsh P S") exactly matches my Passport and PAN card (no extra spaces, correct initials).

  • Opened Developer Support case #102900128848 — the agent replied once on 2026-05-28 asking for a screenshot, which I provided the same day. No follow-up in 3+ business days.

  • Filed a parallel case #102905434551 on 2026-06-02 explicitly referencing the first as escalation, not a duplicate.

  • Apple ID has 2FA enabled, trusted device active, billing address on file.

Questions for anyone who has gotten past this:

  1. Did the verification reset come from support, or did re-attempting from the app after some delay work on its own?

  2. For Indian developers — which ID type was finally accepted (Passport vs PAN)? I understand Aadhaar is not accepted per UIDAI restriction.

  3. Is there a specific support topic / contact path that routes to the identity-verification team faster than "Membership and Account → Program Enrolment → Email"?

Any pointers appreciated — my iOS 26 / SwiftUI app is built, tested, CI-green, and waiting only on enrolment.

Update (4 June): Developer Support has now confirmed my identity verification is APPROVED. In case 102900128848 the agent replied on 2 June: "the system shows that your information has been approved. Please continue to submit the registration information."

However, the Apple Developer app still blocks me before I can submit the enrolment, and the message changed over two days:

  • 3 June: a full-screen "Contact Us to Continue. There may be an issue with your account that needs to be resolved before you can continue. Please contact support."
  • 4 June: an alert "Unable to Continue. Contact support at developer.apple.com/contact."

So I'm in a loop: identity verification is approved, yet the app won't let me reach the registration/payment step. I've replied to the case asking them to clear the residual account-level hold.

Has anyone cleared this exact "approved, but the app still shows Unable to Continue" state? Did it resolve on its own after a delay, or did support have to lift an account-level flag? Any pointers appreciated.

Case #102900128848 now in Apple's hands. Support team (Yana/Samira/Lita) is investigating account-level hold blocking enrollment progression.

Timeline:

  • 2026-05-28: Case opened (ID verification rejected)
  • 2026-06-02: Identity verified and approved
  • 2026-06-06: Government ID docs uploaded
  • 2026-06-08: Apple requests device details
