There seems to be a lack of clarity about how this Siri AI rollout is working. Does the indexing have anything to do with getting taken off the waitlist, or are they completely separate? Also, what is the expected wait time and has anyone gotten the new Siri after the initial wave of approvals (after 4 hours after the keynote)? The waitlist is extremely slow compared to the initial Apple Intelligence waitlist from a couple of years ago.

Been on the waitlist for about 26 hours now. When I was on the waitlist for iOS 18's Apple Intelligence I was accepted within a couple hours.
I've been on the waitlist since about an hour or two after WWDC. Wonder if this is being done in waves, random, or on some sort of queue.

I have been on the waitlist since 3:30pm EST, 30 minutes into keynote. Trying to be patient in the waves but want in! it’s like the old days when waiting to buy concert tickets online waiting in queue. Lol
I also have setup talk to Siri notification which I have done now about 6 times but doesn’t clear the message. Anyone else?

Same. I requested access right after the keynote once iOS 27 was installed. Still waiting. I have an iPhone 17 pro max too.
I jumped on the waitlist at about 1:20 MDT after the keynote. I’m still on it 41 hours later so it must be random.
Signed up on the day of the keynote, still waiting and it’s Wednesday. My phones been indexing since it booted into 27 and no suggestion of progress. I’ve also got the setup siri voice but then click into it for it to do nothing
People that joined the waitlist on the day of the keynote should be getting their approvals by now, assuming they're letting people first come first serve. Once again, indexing does not seem to affect how fast you get in. Some of the "ask Siri" features seem to be buggy, both on Mac and iPhone, but it works pretty well for a dev rollout. I waited for around 48 hours and I joined the waitlist around 90 mins after the keynote ended.

Same here, it's been over 48 hours and I've still not gotten access to the New Siri. Kinda annoyed about this considering a buddy of mine got it within an hour of joining the waitlist
On the waitlist since a couple of hours after the beta came out. In fact, on the waitlist for the iPhone, iPad mini, MacBook Air,and iPad Air. No love. I wonder how they are prioritizing access? Otherwise, besides having unread messages (which weren’t unread at all) on both my iPhone and watch series 9, iOS 27 and watchOS27 seem to be working pretty well.
