Xcode 27 crashes when coding agent asks for permission

I am using Coding Intelligence, powered by Claude, in the first production release of Xcode 27.0 (in MacOS 26.7). Initially it was working ok. But after less than a day, it now crashes every time it needs to ask for permission for any shell command.

And each time I restart things, it burns through a ton of tokens. ☹️

Any suggestions? (I'll file a bug report right now…)

Thanks for the post.

My guess, every time it crashes and restarts, it has to rebuild its entire context and re-analyzing your workspace and I guess uses tokens again?

Can you check a few things for me? Then again, if Xcode crashes, you should file a bug and post the crash file here as well.

Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Developer Tools and check Xcode is added and toggled on. If you see any specific Coding Intelligence or Claude-related daemons in the list, enable them as well. Then on Privacy & Security > Full Disk Access check Xcode toggle is on.

But if it crashes this is definitely a bug the Xcode team needs to address. I highly recommend filing a bug with a sysdiagnose attached immediately after the crash occurs so the engineering team can review.

Once you open the bug report, please post the FB number here for my reference.
