Hi, is there any possibility of developers being able to keep compatibility mode for a particular device model?
I know it is possible for the iPad because it is regarded as a different device family from the iPhone.
We wonder if it is possible for us to target just a particular model. Say for example, the iPhone Duo.

It is not possible to target just iPhone Duo. The HIG Designing for iPhone Duo states:
"Although iPhone Duo is a new form factor, keep in mind that you're still designing for iPhone."
iPad's compatibility mode works because iPad is a separate device family/idiom from iPhone. iPhone Duo is still iPhone idiom, so there's no equivalent opt-out.
There is a compatibility mode on iPhone Duo, but it isn't something you target or select — it's automatic, and tied to which SDK you build with rather than a device model.
Apps that haven't been rebuilt against newer SDKs render at a familiar iPhone mini aspect ratio, letterboxed on the outer display and centered on the inner display, and that's the default behavior until you adopt the iOS 27 SDK. Compatibility mode will apply only as a side effect of your SDK version, not as a per-device toggle you control independently of the rest of your iPhone support.
