Read-only file system (Mac OS Extended)

After updating to another beta of High Sierra, my internal hard drive became read-only somehow. I have a user home directory on that and many things have stopped working. I tried re-installing the OS, but it didn't help. I'm out of options by now. Anyone has ideas how can I fix that?

I have a mac mini 2012 with ssd as a system boot drive (APFS), and a SATA hard drive (Mac OS Extended). High Sierra public beta 17A344b.

I have exactly the same problem, after installing the latest beta, I get

Mac OS cant repair the disk xxxx

You can still open or copy files, this is my time machine backup drive, which time machine can now not write too.

Its a 16TB raid array Promis pegasus 2 R6

Same here.OS 26.4 beta 1 Only on Mac OS Extended disks.

All of my external MacOS Journaled drives are now READ-ONLY under 26.4 Beta (25E5207k). APFS Drives seem to be working correctly.

Don't want to re-format all of my 18 drives to fix the problem!

Exactly the same here. The problem appeared only in 26.4 Beta (25E5207k) in my case.

This thread from nine years ago has been resurrected to say you've got the same issue on the most recent beta of macOS 26?

Honestly.

Read the release notes. It's a known issue.
