Hi,
Normally we need many shades of gray in any App and Apple system have only 3 , Primery, Secondary, and Gray, so to make Gray regress that automatically adapt to Dark Mode we just use opacity on these colors ? there's no system built in Gray degrees ?
Kind Regards

Hello everyone,
In the current iOS version, changes in the "liquid glass" light shining effects can repeatedly be observed on older iPhone devices (12/13/14).
This change is often seen after the device is rebooted or after a SystemMemoryReset.ips (System Analysis Data).
It changes very often...
I'm not currently working on apps myself, but perhaps someone has ideas for the upcoming updates involving Liquid Glass.
(please also check the screenshots)
Hello, I am currently trying all of the new features in iOS 26, including some of the new API's. However, there's one question I am not sure of.
In the Build a SwiftUI app with the new design video, there is one section where they show off the Apple Music TabView with one section containing the tabs on the left and the search tab on the right. The scroll down feature I was able to implement. The tabs being split, I have no idea how to do that. How can I do that in SwiftUI?
I had, a long time ago (over 10 years) developed an application that is connected to my UPS (for solar panels).
Until yet it worked very well, and I didnot have to compute more than making updates of XCode. That was all.
But yet I have swiched to the latest value of switch, and it continue to compile, but it does'not work. I am asking to yo in order keeping my app working as previously. As it does not work, which library is replacing Cloudkit.framework ?
and which library is replacing InsPersistantContainer.framework ?
Have a good day

Add slim horizontal bar at the top of the Notification Center that displays the apps with current notifications, along with a badge showing the number of notifications for each app. Each app icon is clickable, allowing users to filter the Notification Center and view only the notifications from the selected app.
The first button in the slider should be “All” to show all notifications, followed by app icons (Excluding notifications summary)
This bar Appears only when notifications are from more than one app.
Hidden if there’s only one app in Notification Center (no need to filter).
Benefits:
Better organization: Helps users quickly identify which apps have unread notifications.
Reduced distraction: Allows focusing on notifications from one app at a time.
Easier navigation: Especially helpful when notifications from multiple apps are mixed together by time.
Faster interaction: Saves time by letting users jump directly to the relevant group of grouped or multiple notifications.
On iOS 26 beta 3, my app and some other apps got greyed out app icon.
It only happens in Default (Light) appearance.
Apple automatically converts third-party app icons to support Liquid Glass, but is there any specific requirement with third-party icons to avoid above greyed out app icon issue?
In Apple Music I opened fullscreen for a song and I accidentally clicked some keys and the name and artist name of the song I was playing disappeared, and I can't figure out how to get it back, it temporarily comes back when I hover over the top bar but I can not get it to stay there permanently.
I'm in the process of add some swift code that is all objective-c. I have trouble with my actual app so I have worked on a prototype. There is what I have done
Created a new Xcode project, selecting App and Objc
Added a blank Swift file and accepted the generation of the -Bridging-Header.
In project build setting, Yes for Defines Modules, Yes for Always Embed Swift Libraries
Add appropriate .h file to Bridging header
In Build Settings, in Swift Compiler - General, Bridging Header has correct path to the bridging header file
Setup the single swift file in this was using @objc like this:
@objcmembers
class MySwiftClass: NSObject {
func myMethod() {
let output = ...
}
}
When the project runs I execute in the objc ViewController:
MySwiftClass *swiftObject = [[MySwiftClass alloc] init];
and get
Use of undeclared identifier 'MySwiftClass'
Does iOS 26 support HDR images for app icons to be rendered in High Dynamic Range for Springboard or not?

Below are the steps to reproduce the bug in Contacts app.
Open Contacts app.
Now search for a contact and didSelect that contact.
Now slightly hold swipe right(from view's center leading position) as to pop the view but not fully swipe, now release the finger and you can see the back nav bar button missing and tapping the back button position also doesn't perform dismiss action.
Now do fully swipe from left to right to dismiss(pop) current view.
Here you can see the search bar missing.-> That's the bug.
I can't find any documentation on design guidelines for "Login with Game Center" button. My app allows users to "Play as Guest" or "Login with Game Center". Since Apple provides somewhat strict guidelines for designing "Sign in with Apple" button, i was wondering how to design the button for Game Center login. Should i use Game Center icon. And will Apple review reject this?
I have an ongoing activity in progress.
Think of:
a delivery in progress
house internet reboot in progress
some water / electricity / internet / tv outage.
(food) order processing
I want to show a persistent toast message above the tab bar, across all tabs and screens across the app. It could take 15 minutes until the activity is finished.
Obviously there's a challenge of:
accessibility
content overlaying with each other
extra engineering effort.
What we've thought of doing is:
Option1: show a toast message, but when a modal is presented then it presents on top of the toast message. The toast message no longer updates itself. Once the modal is finished, then the toast message re-appears and continues to update.
Option2: keep the toast message across all tabs and modals and work through the challenges mentioned
Question:
What are some other design approaches that could be taken to persist an ongoing activity (much like 'Live Activity', but just across the app when it's in foreground) or what are some design reasons that the two options considered are bad?
Is it possible to use the new variable draw feature for a custom SF Symbol without it leaving the background behind it when it is not drawn?
I am trying to make a tally icon that is drawn with the variable draw, but it doesn't look good if the tally is visible in the background before it is drawn.
Not sure if anyone else has this issue, however with the new appearances when i use the dark appearance and then open the app "TickTick", the icon goes to its original colour until the app is closed.
Forgot to turn off the ui element status bar. visual garbage.
is it not important? your opinion

I have the June 2025 version, but I'd like to find the 2022. There was something removed from the 2022 that I would like to check out.
I see the logo all over the internet, but the only Official logo I can find is the swift logo, the orange one, but the blue one I do not see a place to download it nor the usage guidelines. I have seen it on various Icon site like Icon8. I would like to use it on my reddit forum that is dedicated to SwiftUI but I want to be legal. Is it allowed to use and if so, where can you download the official verison?
Context & Issue
I am developing an iOS application.
My app icon uses colors that are relatively close to each other.
When the user enables Accessibility → Display & Text Size → Color Filters → Grayscale (or similar modes), the icon becomes harder to distinguish because it loses color and contrast is reduced.
Goal
When iOS switches to grayscale mode, I want the app icon to maintain good contrast between its elements so it remains clearly recognizable.
What I’ve tried
Redesigned the icon with more contrasting colors.
Added strokes/outlines, but it still doesn’t look much better in grayscale.
Researched how iOS renders app icons when grayscale is enabled, but couldn’t find a way to override or provide an alternative icon.
Specific questions
Is there any API or mechanism in iOS that allows providing a different version of the app icon when the user has grayscale mode enabled?
If there’s no direct API, are there any best practices for designing iOS app icons to ensure good contrast when converted to grayscale?
Do we have to design grayscale version for app icon?
Thank you!
