I want to let users place 2D/3D “artworks” on detected walls and have them reappear in exactly the same real‑world spot after quitting and relaunching the app (like widgets do, but for my own entities).Environment: Xcode 26, visionOS 2.0, RealityKit + ARKitSession/WorldTrackingProvider Entities are parented to a holder that’s aligned to a wall via plane/mesh raycasts.
What I’ve tried:
Create a WorldAnchor at placement, save UUID + full 4×4 transform On next launch, re-create the WorldAnchor (or set the saved transform) and attach the entity Gate restore on relocalization/mesh updates and disable all raycast/search after restore Issue: After relaunch, placement still resolves relative to current device pose, not the same wall position.
Questions:
Is there a public API in visionOS 2.0 to persist app‑managed world anchors across sessions (room‑fixed), e.g., AnchorStore or equivalent?
If not, what’s the recommended pattern to reliably restore wall‑anchored content?
Are persistence features mentioned for widgets/windows available to third‑party RealityKit entities?

I have a visionOS 2 project created on Xcode 16, when I updated to Xcode 26 beta5, I can't build it any more, every time it stuck in process like the picture shows below:
Already tried many methods to fix this issue, such as clear build folders, but don't work.
MacBook Air M2 / MacOS 26 beta5 / Xcode 26 beta5
I am building a 360 photo viewer in VisionOS 26. Which allows the user to choose a 2 by 1 jpg and then renders it with a sphere mesh entity. And I use: TextureResource(contentsOf: url, options: options).
I noticed two situations here in terms of mipmaps options.
When setting "mipmapsMode: .none":
The graphic quality within the "gaze area" looks sharp and clear
The two poles (top and bottom) are perfectly rendered
Massive shimmer around the "gaze area"
When setting "mipmapsMode: .allocateAndGenerateAll":
The graphic looks slightly blurrier than in ".none" within the "gaze area"
The two poles are very blurry and hard to recognize the texture
Much less shimmer around the "gaze area"
My question would be: Is there a way to have the perfect graphic quality in ".none" without the massive shimmer?
Thank you!

Im just trying to setup some kind of visual on my iPad for testing and play purposes... I tried adding iPad to both APPLE Visual APPS.
I get this error for both
Building for 'iphoneos', but '12.0' must be >= '18.0'

I posted https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/809481 yesterday about an issue I discovered with pushWindow in visionOS 26.2 RC, but today I discovered a second problem with pushWindow.
If window A calls pushWindow to present window B, and the user pins window B to a wall, the following unexpected behaviors are observed:
Window B spontaneously disappears.
If the user re-launches the (still running) app from the visionOS home view, both window A and window B appear simultaneously. I assume only window B should be visible at this point, since window A pushed window B.
If the user closes window B, it's now impossible to present window B again. Calls to pushWindow appear to be ignored.
If the user force-quits the app and relaunches it, and pushWindow is called again, window B appears, but window A remains visible.
I also noticed this surprising behavior:
This broken state of pushWindow behavior now affects all other apps on the system that may call pushWindow in the future, not just the app whose pushed window was pinned above.
A workaround is to reboot the device, and then the system will behave as expected until the next time the user pins a pushed window.
当我进入混合空间时,出现一个模型,但模型后面有一个 windowGroup,无法完全查看。如果我想点击进入 mix 空间,我需要使用代码将 windowGroup 移动到另一个位置,而不是手动移动

Hi everyone,
I am wondering under which settings the camera(s) were set by the time they were calibrated.
For instance, one aspect that is easy to find is the reference resolution of the images taken when calibrating the intrinsics, this is by retrieving
intrinsicMatrixReferenceDimensions.
Making sure that the principal point is referenced to the by the time resolution used when the calibration was ongoing.
However, recently I saw that there are focusing modes that potentially displace the lens' physical position.
Settings like:
AutoFocusRangeRestriction: none, near, far
setFocusModeLocked: Locks the lens position at the specified value, and sets the focus mode to a locked state.
My concern lies the impact this focusing lens displacements can have on the intrinsic matrix parameters, like these parameters no longer describe the camera since the lens position has changed.
In simple words, what is the focus 'mode'/'range' the cameras were set when calibrating them for intrnisics?
Hi, I'm developing an app for Vision Pro using Xcode, while updating the latest update, things that worked in my app suddenly didn't.
in my app flow I'm tapping spheres to get their positions, from some reason I get an offset from where I tap to where a marker on that position is showing up.
here's the part of code that does that, and a part that is responsible for an alignment that happens afterwards:

I like the toolbar visionOS's Safari uses for back & forward page, share, etc. It floats above the window.
My attempt to do this with ornaments isn't as satisfying as they partially cover the window. My attempts with toolbar haven't produced visible results.
Is this Safari-style toolbar for visionOS exposed by Apple in the API's? If so, could someone point me to documentation or sample code? Thanks!
Hi, would love for your help in that matter.
I try to get the position in space of two QR codes to make an alignment to their positions in space. The detection shows that the QR codes position is always 0,0,0 and I don't understand why. Here's my code:

I'm trying to add a feature to my app to allow a user to import items from other apps, like Safari, via the share sheet.
I've done this many times on iOS/iPadOS easily with a Share Extension. From what I can tell, Xcode tells me share extensions are not available on visionOS - though my experience on device tells me differently (It seems Reminders, Notes & more implement them somehow.) I was finally able to get it working on device only...but I can now no longer test in the simulator, and have not found a way to distribute this app.
When attempting to run on the simulator, I get this issue:
Please try again later. Appex bundle at /Users/jason/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Devices/09A70160-4F4F-4F5E-B679-F6F7D876D7EF/data/Library/Caches/com.apple.mobile.installd.staging/temp.6OAEZp/extracted/LaunchBar.app/PlugIns/LaunchBarShareExtension.appex with id co.swiftfox.LaunchBar.ShareExtension specifies a value (com.apple.share-services) for the NSExtensionPointIdentifier key in the NSExtension dictionary in its Info.plist that does not correspond to a known extension point.
When trying to archive an upload to test flight, I get this similar error:
Invalid Info.plist value. The value for the key 'DTPlatformName' in bundle LaunchBar.app/PlugIns/LaunchBarShareExtension.appex is invalid. (ID: 207610c7-b7e1-48be-959b-22a43cd32d16)
The app is for visionOS only - which I'm thinking might be the problem? The share extension is "Designed For iPhone" and requires me to include iPhone as a run destination. In the worst case I can build an iPhone UI for the app but I'd rather not, as it is very specific to visionOS.
Has anyone successfully launched a share extension on a visionOS only app? I have an iPad app with a share extension that shows up fine on visionOS, but the issue seems to be specifically with visionOS only apps.

I created a new Spatial Rendering App from the template in Xcode 26.0.1. When I run the app, click 'Show Immersive Space' and select my Vision Pro from the pop-up dialog, the content in the dialog flickers (which seems to indicate something crashed) and nothing appears on my Vision Pro.
I'm running the released macOS 26.0 (25A354) and visionOS 26.0 (23M336). Filed as FB20397093.
Hi,
I'm looking to build something similar to the header blur in the App Store and Apple TV app settings. Does anyone know the best way to achieve this so that when there is nothing behind the header it looks the same as the rest of the view background but when content goes underneath it has a blur effect. I've seen .scrollEdgeEffect on IOS26 is there something similar for visionOS?
Thanks!
I want to step into portal world. I've know PortalCrossingComponent can make an entity to cross portal, but how to make device cross into portal world?
Hi,
I am in the process of implementing SharePlay into our app. The shared experience opens an Immersive Space and we set systemCoordinator.configuration.supportsGroupImmersiveSpace = true
Now visionOS establishes a shared coordinate space for the immersive space.
From the docs:
To achieve consistent positioning of RealityKit entities across multiple devices in an immersive space during a SharePlay session
There are cases where we want to position content in front of the user (independent of the shared session, and for each user individually). Normally to do that we use the transform retrieved via worldTrackingProvider.queryDeviceAnchor.originFromAnchorTransform
to position content in front of the user (plus some Z Offset and smooth interpolation).
This works fine in non-SharePlay instances and the device transform is where I would expect it to be but during the FaceTime call deviceAnchor.originFromAnchorTransform seems to use the shared origin of the immersive space and then I end up with a transform that might be offset.
Here is a video of the issue in action: https://streamable.com/205r2p
The blue rect is place using AnchorEntity(.head, trackingMode: .continuous). This works regardless of the call and the entity is always placed based on the head position.
The green rect is adjusted on every frame using the transform I get from worldTrackingProvider.queryDeviceAnchor. As you can see it's offset.
Is there any way I can query query this transform locally for the user during a FaceTime call?
Also I would like to know if it's possible to disable this automatic entity transform syncing behavior?
Setting entity.synchronization = nil results in the entity not showing up at all.
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/realitykit/synchronizationcomponent
Is SynchronizationComponent only relevant for the legacy MultiPeerConnectivity approach?
Thank you!
Hello,
There are three issues I am running into with a default template project + additional minimal code changes:
the Sphere_Left entity always overlaps the Sphere_Right entity.
when I release the Sphere_Left entity, it does not remain sticking to the Sphere_Right entity
when I release the Sphere_Left entity, it distances itself from the Sphere_Right entity
When I manipulate the Sphere_Right entity, these above 3 issues do not occur: I get a correct and expected behavior.
These issues are simple to replicate:
Create a new project in XCode
Choose visionOS -> App, then click Next
Name your project, and leave all other options as defaults: Initial Scene: Window, Immersive Space Renderer: RealityKit, Immersive Space: Mixed, then click Next
Save you project anywhere...
Replace the entire ImmersiveView.swift file with the below code.
Run.
Try to manipulate the left sphere, you should get the same issues I mentioned above
If you restart the project, and manipulate only the right sphere, you should get the correct expected behaviors, and no issues.
I am running this in macOS 26, XCode 26, on visionOS 26, all released lately.

Hello Community,
I’m currently working with the sample code “CapturingDepthUsingTheLiDARCamera” and using it to capture the depth map of an image taken with the iPhone 14 Pro.
From this depth map, I generate a point cloud using the intrinsic camera parameters.
I've noticed that objects not facing the camera directly appear distorted in the resulting point cloud.
For example: An object with surfaces that are perpendicular to each other appears with a sharper angle in the point cloud — around 60° instead of 90°.
My question is:
Is this due to the general accuracy limitations of the LiDAR sensor? Or could it be related to the sample code?
To obtain the depth map, I’m using:
AVCapturePhoto.depthData.converting(toDepthDataType: kCVPixelFormatType_DepthFloat32)
Thanks in advance for your help!
