Same problem here, I have: MacBook Air (MID-2013) 1,7 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB and in catalina OS works very well and fast, I have to downgrade it :(
