Comment on QR Code Deep Links?
LOL! Well, until about a week ago I didn't know anything about it either. I get your drift, but I guess QR Code Marketing is a huge thing, and quite valuable. However, I don't see how Universal Links can be encoded within another link, for tracking purposes, and still work as a deep link. Their strategy is: our users scan a QR code, and their service process that and then redirects to a web page that opens in iOS safari where the user than has to choose a link to Deep LInk - not good UX!

Comment on QR Code Deep Links?
Awesome! It doesn't take me directly to the app store, but it does take me to a web page with the app link on it. I guess the thing that thews me was this Scanova deep link builder tool, which seems behind the times and does not allow Universal Links. I think I understand now that QR code services build in extra linking data, so it first routes the deep link to their service site for tracking and analytics purposes. Thank you so much - this is just fantastic!

Comment on QR Code Deep Links?
Hey, thank you for your reply, @endecotp! Apple documentation explains how to deep link into iOS apps and how it works It seems like Universal LInk's specific purpose is to provide one address that will either launch the app or take the user to the app store if it is not app installed. That seems at odds with your what you are saying about Universal Links, or I misunderstood? there is a lot of info out there, but noting specific to this topic. Thanks for any further input!
