Reply to My machine gets restarts even when I am working on it.. I tried reinstalling Big sur, still facing same problem
Run diagnostics depending on the age of this iMac 5K 2017, disconnect all connected external storage and test again, remove any add-on anti-malware or add-on anti-virus or add-on VPN apps or add-on cleaner apps and test again, reset both the NVRAM and SMC and boot into Safe Mode and test again, and failing all that then contact Apple Support or your preferred repair provider. Reply to Terminal issue on Big Sur (Mac OS 11.4)
What might the text of the message that the system show a problem message be? What have you already tried? Does your testing work in a Safe Mode boot? Any add-on VPN apps, or add-on security apps, or add-on cleaner apps? If so, remove all that, and try again. Create a new login and run your tests there. (Note: The shell for the new login will default to zsh, not bash.) If your shell script works in the other (new) login and not in your existing login, then the issue is likely with your login script. If the issue is with some part of your login script, remove your login and incrementally add back the pieces, until you find the error.

Reply to You do not have permission to open the application “Brother Scanner”.
Try using VueScan? They support a myriad of Brother scanners. I’ll be trying the following in a local test environment over the next couple of days: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/408752/the-message-you-do-not-have-permission-to-open-the-application-is-shown-when-t https://stackoverflow.com/questions/64842819/cant-run-app-because-of-permission-in-big-sur

Reply to inbuilt iOS VPN FedRamp Support
FIPS 140-3 compliance status on current and upcoming macOS appears to be "no" or "not yet". FedRAMP references FIPS 140-2 and FIPS 140-3 for this, so your question is closer to "Does the iOS, iPadOS, and Mac VPN support include the FIPS 140-2 / 140-3 cipher suite?" or maybe "Can the iOS, iPadOS, and Mac VPN support be restricted to include the FIPS 140-2 / 140-3 cipher suite?" Some reading: https://csrc.nist.gov/publications/detail/fips/140/2/final Which leads to: https://www.apple.com/mideast/business/docs/a/pdf/shared/macOS_Security_Overview.pdf and https://support.apple.com/guide/sccc/security-certifications-for-macos-sccc5eb3dc4fa/web Which then leads to digging through the validation standards and the vendor review listings. (Which gets to be actual work.) Have a look at what's posted at the above links and via DDG or other search engines, as you will still need perform that research and that comparison yourself, so that you'll have the details and the links to cite when the inevitable questions and citations arise, as there is an inevitable need to write reports and link to citations in most (all?) contexts involving references to FIPS and FedRAMP reviews. Complicating all this, it appears there's a transition from FIPS 140-2 to FIPS 140-3 underway, and I don't yet see links to Apple certifications for 140-3 posted, with the last published FIPS 140-2 data was for macOS 10.15 Catalina. Didn't check iOS and iPadOS. Which then visits the "which part of what standard is required for compliance with whatever requirements are involved here" discussion around what you're actually researching and actually seeking compliance with; whether still being FIPS-ish or FIPS-compatible (but not (yet?) certified) is sufficient for your particular requirements, or whether your requirements expect current certifications for the versions intended. (Which looks to be "no" or "not yet" on macOS Big Sur and Monterey, and unknown on whether the features are present and compliant but not (yet?) reviewed, but I stopped digging.)

Reply to Stuck while installation of windows 10
I don't know the answer to this, but best to follow the Apple Boot Camp install sequence if that's not what you're already doing: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201468 and should there then be issues, best to post your questions to the Boot Camp community: https://discussions.apple.com/community/windows_software/boot_camp When partitioning goes wrong (with Boot Camp Assistant here, or with Disk Utility for other tasks), it's typical to have to erase and re-partition the whole storage device; all partitions.

Reply to Send mails in background via SMTP (macOS)
If you can use it, there are Python scripts around (search for write-mime-multipart,; can't link to some related SO info here) that generate MIME files, and you can then send that file. The mpack tool is another potential option. MIME itself (rfc2045) isn't particularly difficult to construct directly.

Reply to Keeping track of users in macOS
Apple tries to keep the foreground (GUI) activities protected from untoward background (agents, daemons) interest, absent explicit cooperation between foreground and background apps. You've told us your proposed solution, but have provided little about the problem you are seeking to address with knowledge of the identity of the foreground (GUI) user. Maybe the Apple Introduction to Multiple User Environments doc helps?

Reply to how can I read this error?
Probably best to ask the VirtualBox app users and VirtualBox app devs as a starting point for your quest, as it's pretty clearly VirtualBox that's tipping over here, or something the Linux guest is doing within or to VirtualBox. While the bug might be in the guest, or might in VirtualBox or might be in macOS, the VirtualBox developers are in the best position to investigate this, and to coordinate with Apple developer support if that's necessary, too. I see a similar crash posted over in the VirtualBox forums for that same diagnostic. https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?t=99762 Best to ask this over in the VirtualBox forums, unless they have specific additional suggestions.

Reply to mac storage (the others category)
If you're asking this question, pragmatically your Mac storage is probably too small for your current usage. Which means you'll be managing your storage more actively. If you have one of the 128 GB Mac configurations, there's almost no way not to be managing local storage contents. The Other storage can well be your own stuff; what files don't fit into the other displayed categories. There is a user tip that describes more about Other storage, what is installed, and how to investigate usage.. Add-on cleaner apps are problematic additions in general, and not something I'd usually recommend installing. Some of those cleaner tools have caused corruptions or other pernicious issues. macOS does pretty well keeping itself clean. Booting through Safe Mode can be a good cleanup, if you need that. ps: This question is probably also better suited to the user forums too, as this doesn't seem to involve application development. If you are using Xcode, that can easily use 30 GB, plus whatever other tools and source code you're working with.

Reply to Windows to apple
Assuming your Mac isn't ancient, erase and reinstall. Again, if your Mac isn't ancient, you can remotely load macOS Recovery using Option-Command-R.. Select the Show All Devices option within in Disk Utility, select the whole volume, and erase everything. And the ASC forums are a better place for these questions.

Reply to YouTube app bug
You will want to check for and apply any available YouTube app update from Google. If any available update does not resolve this issue, you will want to log a bug report with Google, as they may or may not see bug reports in their app posted here.
