I had the battery drain issue, but solved it. I could see in Activity Monitor that it was Chrome and "Google Chrome Helper" that were draining the battery. The fix was so completely uninstall and re-install Chrome. This involves removing the app, then deleting the Google Chrome folder ~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome, then rebooting and re-downloading Chrome. This seems to have completely fixed the issue.
