Thanks @meaton I wonder if the permission requirement there is a wee bit too strict. Bonjour and Multicast UDP are very common in home automation devices. Would be good if the Account holder could grant a special permission to admins for that. Maybe I'll file a PR.

Did you report this as a bug? Using Apple's Feedback Assistant? if not, then go do that now. Apple do not make any promise to read these peer-to-peer forums.
