For general requests, I'm using the Foundation framework, and to determine if I am on VPN, I am trying to use services from the CFNetwork framework, e.g. CFProxySupport. The goal is to be able to distinguish the users based on the VPN, and redirect them to an SSO auth page if the VPN connection is active, but show them a simple login page if the phone/app is not communicating via VPN. So I would say, incorrect results would cause trouble.
