This method didn't work for me, possibly since I removed all other OS in Xcode and followed up with some support files that were problematic that slowed it down, yet this buggy borderline malicious code kept replacing it often trying to do so at the same time when other mundane unrelated applications are launched which is a common tactic of malicious and taking it from that infernal purgeable data that still amassed even though the optimize storage option was not selected.
