Following up on recovery before attempting an Apple-managed devicectl physical-device persistence experiment. This is separate from earlier USB/DVT testing.
For Xcode 27.0 / CoreDevice 642.16:
If a location coordinate or clear command fails or times out, could the simulated location still have changed? Is retrying clear supported?
Can another already-trusted Mac clear a simulation initiated by the original Mac? What prerequisites apply?
If no Mac can connect, is there a supported iPhone-local recovery procedure? Does restarting the iPhone or disabling Developer Mode reliably remove the simulation?
Is there an Apple-recommended reversible physical-device test procedure covering these failure cases, including verification of restoration in Maps, Find My People/My Location, and Find My Devices?
Please distinguish documented guarantees from version-specific or observed behaviour, and identify any required connection, trust, Developer Mode, or developer-service prerequisites.
Thank you for any official documentation or guidance.
