Does website Sign in with Apple require native Sign in with Apple in an existing iOS app?
Hello Apple Developer Community, I maintain an existing iOS app called Sawiliy, available on the App Store under bundle ID com.sawiliy.om. The iOS app currently uses passwordless email-code authentication. Our associated website, https://sawiliy.com, uses Supabase authentication, and we would like to offer Sign in with Apple on the website first. Apple's documentation for configuring Sign in with Apple for the web says that an existing app in the App Store must use Sign in with Apple. Could someone clarify whether this means our iOS app must implement Sign in with Apple natively and receive App Store approval before we can offer it on our website? Alternatively, can we configure a Services ID associated with our existing iOS app and enable Sign in with Apple on the website while the iOS app continues to use email-code authentication? If native implementation is required, what is the minimum app-side implementation and App Store submission needed to meet this requirement? We have not enabled the Sign in with Apple capability or created a Services ID yet. We want to confirm the requirement before changing our app configuration or provisioning profiles. Thank you.
