Message Filter Extension Impacts
Hello, We are using a Message Filter Extension (ILMessageFilterExtension) to classify SMS/iMessage content (junk vs allow) in our app. After testing on iOS 26.1, we want to confirm whether there are any behavioral, performance, or API-level changes that impact message filtering, such as: Changes in how often the filter extension is invoked Differences in classification accuracy or system overrides New privacy, entitlement, or permission-related restrictions Execution time limits or memory constraints Any changes specific to iMessage vs SMS filtering We did not find any explicit mention of Message Filter Extensions in the iOS 26.1 release notes and would like to confirm whether the existing behavior from previous iOS versions remains unchanged. Has Apple introduced any known or undocumented changes in iOS 26.1 that developers should be aware of when supporting Message Filter Extensions? Sometime I also found unpredictable behaviour on iOS version 18.5 or below, like sometime it works but sometimes starts working. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

URL Blocking in Chrome on iOS via Extensions – Is It Possible?
Hello Apple Developer Community, I currently have a Safari Web Extension on iOS that blocks certain URLs for users. I would like to provide the same functionality for Chrome on iOS. I understand that Chrome on iOS uses WebKit under the hood, and Safari Web Extensions can run in Safari, but I am unsure whether there is any way to implement URL blocking in Chrome for iOS—either via an extension, API, or other supported mechanism. Specifically, I’m looking for guidance on: Whether any browser extension (Safari, Chrome, or otherwise) can intercept or block web requests in Chrome on iOS. If not, what Apple-supported alternatives exist for implementing URL-blocking functionality for users of Chrome on iOS. Any best practices for maintaining a cross-browser URL-blocking solution for iOS users. I want to make sure my approach is aligned with Apple’s policies and platform capabilities. Any guidance or official references would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Request for Guidance on Approval Process for Network Extension Entitlement
Dear Apple Developer Support Team, I am writing to inquire about the process for obtaining approval for the following entitlement in my iOS/macOS app: <key>com.apple.developer.networking.networkextension</key> <array> <string>content-filter-provider</string> </array> Specifically, I would like guidance on: The steps required to submit a request for this entitlement. Any necessary documentation or justification that needs to be provided to Apple. Typical review timelines and approval criteria. Any restrictions or compliance requirements associated with this entitlement. Our app intends to implement a content filtering functionality to enhance network security and user safety. We want to ensure full compliance with Apple’s policies and guidelines. Could you please provide detailed instructions or point us to the relevant resources to initiate this approval process? Thank you for your assistance.

URL Filter Behaviour
Hello I have implemented URL Filter using below sample link https://developer.apple.com/documentation/networkextension/filtering-traffic-by-url But currently I am facing weird issue when I try to add new urls in the input_urls.txt file. When I add url in the file and execute BloomFilterTool again, it creates new bloom plist as well as server url file so I replaces those manually restart the server as well as reinstall the app, but when I do so I am not able to get new urls blocked by browser until and unless I am not killing browser and relaunching it again. Does anybody facing same kind of issue ?

URL Filter Prefetch Interval guarantee
Hello, I have implemented a URL Filter using the sample provided here: Filtering Traffic by URL. I am also using an App Group to dynamically manage the Bloom filter and block list data. However, when I update my block list URLs and create a new Bloom filter plist in the App Group, the extension does not seem to use the updated Bloom filter even after the prefetch interval expires. Also for testing purpose can I keep this interval to 10 mins or below ?

URL Filter Network Extension
Hello team, I am trying to find out a way to block urls in the chrome browser if it is found in local blocked list cache. I found URL Filter Network very much suitable for my requirement. But I see at multiple places that this solution is only for Enterprise level or MDM or supervised device. So can I run this for normal user ? as my targeting audience would be bank users. One more thing how can I test this in development environment if we need supervised devices and do we need special entitlement ? When trying to run sample project in the simulator then getting below error
