I don't know why you are making this about a List when the example doesn't use a list. There is no requirement that a List be used with a .searchable() modifier. The use of a List does not explain this error at all.

Thank you for sharing this. It worked for me as well. No idea why but at least I can move forward. I assume its a bug in SwiftData.
