This does not solve the problem with the type-C connection. I have a mouse/keyboard/usb peripherals connected to the monitor. And everything is transferred via a usb-c cable to the laptop + the laptop is charged immediately. Only the image will work with hdmi I'm waiting for a decision from Apple..
