I am facing a crash at the launch of my application: "failure in void _realizeSettingsExtension(__unsafe_unretained Class, __unsafe_unretained Class) (FBSSceneExtension.m:501) : could not convert "1" to an integer." This crash I am facing since trying with Xcode 26 and iPadOS 27 beta 4. With iPadOS 26, it was working well. Also I have other applications too which does't crash with the same pods and info.plist values and same app launch configurations, device orientation configurations etc. While investigating this crash, I found, it occurs inside Apple's FrontBoardServices, before my application code executes normally (I commented out all the code from "didFinishLaunching:" and from "willConnectToSession:"). The crash stops at: FrontBoardServices`_realizeSettingsExtension.cold.7 brk The relevant call stack is: _realizeSettingsExtension.cold.7 _realizeSettingsExtension FBSSettingForSelector FBSSettingForLegacySelector _ingestPropertiesFromSettingsSubclass -[FBSSceneObserver scene:didUpdateSettings:] -[_UISceneLayoutPreferencesController scene:didUpdateSettings:] I found that FrontBoardServices is processing: <UIMutableApplicationSceneSettings: ...> { legacyLocalSettings = <BSMutableSettings: ...> { (4821) = 1; }; } I confirmed that setting 4821 maps to: setDeviceOrientation: A breakpoint on: -[UIMutableApplicationSceneSettings setDeviceOrientation:] is hit during scene creation. Any guidance on which could be the impacting part/code, or on tracing the origin of this setting would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
