Hi there,
I’m experiencing exactly the same issue on iOS 26 Public Beta—even when my web app is installed in standalone mode (via “Add to Home Screen”), the viewport seems to miscalculate the bottom area, as if Safari’s UI (e.g., the URL bar or toolbar) is still present, although it’s hidden. When the keyboard opens and then closes, there's often a blank, scrollable gap at the bottom, and fixed elements don’t reposition correctly.
I’m not sure if it’s related to the “liquid glass” UI introduced in this beta, a Safari bug, or some internal change in viewport handling in iOS 26.
To help clarify the behavior, I’m going to add some screenshots showing the gap / toolbar phantom space.
