The app is using Microsoft's .NET for iOS (originally called MonoTouch and Xamarin), which is a C# wrapper calling the native iOS runtime, classes, methods, assets, and XIB/Storyboard files. I figured since the hang seemingly takes place in the native UIKit classes I'd ask here. But I'll contact Microsoft as well just to be sure.
