Comment on How to Fix Cracking and Popping Sound ?
To answer the last question: on my side I have the problem on a m1 machine bought new and for which I reinstalled everything from scratch. I have the impression that I don't have the problem on the other sessions I have on my computer (but to be honest I don't spend enough time on them to be totally sure).

Did you notice the problem directly after your clean install ? Or after installing all your software? when I went to the genius bar, the guy offered me to do a relocation. I asked him if there was a difference with a reinstallation as I could do it at home by myself! He told me that the reset in genius bar was deeper and that he was starting from a factory install which would be different from what we could do. Maybe he was bullshitting me, maybe not... I didn't have the heart to go through the whole reconfiguration of my MacBook Pro 16 M1 ... I left without doing anything ...

I understand what you are saying, but I don't necessarily agree. I've been known to reboot and have the problem within minutes. So far, since the manipulation of my link just above, it has not done it to me in 48 hours. That being said, I've had the problem for more than a week and ... it was still there ... So, I'm very clear: I'm not claiming victory at all. What a shame for Apple to let us buy machines at this price and not be serene when we want to listen to something from our MacBook... it literally makes me sick!

Hi, from Paris too It has already been mentioned here that intel applications can cause memory problems (especially when 16GB Ram). Your suggestion is even more interesting ! so big thanks for your share. Besides, these 3 processes are irreducible: Core Audio Driver (MSTeamsAudioDevice.driver) Core Audio Driver (Speaker Audio Recorder.driver) CarbonComponentScannerXPC But I can't find any trace of the Magnet application on my side (in the list of process, I’ve nothing called « magnet »

I have a real improvement with the Boom 3D drivers (which by pure fantasy I bought for 12€ with the upcoming summer promo). That being said, it doesn't fix the situation 100%, but the difference is still noticeable. It's a solution I'll keep until the next MacOS version (Ventura?) by the end of September I guess.

Do you confirm there's no way to remove these 2 items from the CPU type Intel list ? CarbonComponentScannerXPC + Core Audio Driver (Speaker Audio Recorder.driver)

I have zipped as backup /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/MSTeamsAudioDevice.driver , then I deleted the folder. I was surprised that I was allowed to, as process is still running (and I finally have been able to close it manually from the monitor activity) That's it ? :)

Thanks for sharing. It really looks one of the most known solution but unfortunately it's a temporarily fix. Cracking still there after some hours.
