The Storyboard UI suggests that switching the primary style from 'Sidebar' to 'None' does what I'm looking for but this setting seems to be ignored and after building the app I always get the sidebar style.

In my case I have a UICollectionViewController as the secondary ViewController of my UISplitViewController. (Similar to the Photos app) You are suggesting I add constraints to the CollectionView? This seems a bit hacky to me.

So I have to make all the root views of my view controllers into sub views in order to be able to add constraints?

Did you find any way to disable the dimming and blur of the navigation bar background @arlomedia ?

I took the opportunity to ask about this in a WWDC lab and we found a solution at least for edited items: NSPredicate(format: "not adjustmentFormatIdentifier == nil") They also confirmed that there is no comprehensive list of available predicates documented anywhere and encouraged me to submit some feedback to request this.

Same issue here. Easily reproducible by running an iPad App on Mac (Designed for iPad) and resizing the window while any popover view is displayed.

Looks like XCode fails to edit the info.plist by itself. You can add the UILaunchStoryboardName manually to get past this issue. There are detailed steps here: https://stackoverflow.com/a/79164493/5561658 If anyone from Apple reads this: This is a bug and should be fixed.

Sorry for the slow response. I didn’t find the situation I was looking for. Talked to Apple support about it and they encouraged me to use the storyboards method instead.
