Perfect, opening the usdz files (which I downloaded from NASA) in Blender 4.2 and re-exporting them as usdz apparently adds the subdivisionScheme property, and the models look correctly now. Thanks again!
P.S.: It would be great if the Vision Pro Simulator would exhibit the same behavior as the device in this regard. I wouldn't have discovered this issue with the Simulator alone.
