Hey all, I was having this issue and figured out that the reason I was getting the error was because I was testing a real credit card on a test Apple Pay environment. The error you get back is not helpful but this is what solved the problem for me. Follow this guide to set up a sandbox environment. You will need to try multiple test cards until one works, but this is what allowed it to work.
