Hi VP Engineer! First approach you mention. Off-line conversion from vtk to usda/c/z and then loading in the ImmersiveView. I can do my research on the LowLevelMesh an then write a python conversor either from the MeshSequence or from the vtk. I'll keep you updated. Thank you for looking into this!
