The root cause was a missing schema deploy: cloudkit.share had never been created in our container's Production environment because we'd never actually completed a real CKShare create/accept cycle there. Following your guidance, I switched our entitlements to the container's Development environment, wiped the local store, and ran a genuine cross-account share test (one device creating the share, a second device with a different Apple ID accepting it).
