Additional technical detail for the reviewing team: On current iOS 26 and tvOS 26 builds, playback of the provider-supplied fragmented-MP4 HLS track (initialization segment declaring ISO/IEC 23001-7 cenc, AES-CTR) fails with CoreMediaErrorDomain -12927 during track format evaluation — before any content-key request reaches the application. The content provider’s own App Store tvOS application plays these same renditions on standard hardware, so the capability appears to be grantable to third parties for this use case. We are not seeking FairPlay Streaming deployment credentials or access to plaintext content keys — only the capability assigned to our Team ID/App ID. A definitive determination in either direction would let us plan accordingly. We can provide a reproducible sample, media metadata, and diagnostic logs privately on request.
