Same here with Xcode 15.0. It's a little annoying that the extension version is no longer on the General tab. It's buried down in the Build Settings.

It's now March 2025. Xcode 16.2, MacOS Sequoia 15.3.2. M1 MacBook Pro. This crackling noise is still an issue with Xcode open and anything playing on the speaker.
