Even after a major update this is still happening to me, my wife and several of our friends. Is no-one at Apple listening? What is wrong with you people! Look at what people are saying here - the many fixes that have been tried and not working. Apple! It's your system folks... we've paid a helluva lot of money for this. What's going on?

I have installed and reinstalled Big Sur 3 times now but it still refuses to open Applications without crashing out first. I want to know why. These are applications that have opened without problem on Mojave and Catalina. I can see lots of answers but none of them seem to have worked and all of them require me to use programming instructions of some kind. Why can't YOU (Apple) get this sorted out for ordinary users like me who just want to use their Macs without hassle?
