It started happening again to me and I also had to change it the version to iOS 15.0 the General = "Minimum Deployments" to work. See if that fixes it for you?

I'm working on a similar solution and had the same question. Can you please elaborate on why we should use NSURLSession? And does using it prevent the need for using "beginBackgroundTaskWithExpirationHandler"? Thanks
