Xcode 12.4 supports iOS14.4 and earlier. Xcode 12.5 supports iOS14.5. Try searching Stackoverflow for xcode 12.4 unsupported version.

Unfortunately, me too, on iPhone 13 mini. Did not try the 12 mini.
