Reply to Request Assistance with Stuck Notarization Queue
Hello Quinn, I wanted to provide an update and also follow up with a few questions. The originally stuck notarization submission (for the client we helped submit) was eventually rejected after about 5-6 days. After that, we were able to successfully notarize our own apps. Your previous explanations and guidance have been very helpful in alleviating some of our anxiety — thank you for that! We are still curious about the process, though. Could you help us understand why the initial submission was stuck for so long? Does the system have an upper limit on how long a submission can be held for in-depth analysis? If so, knowing that would give us some reassurance for future submissions. Thank you again for your time and assistance!

Hello Quinn, Thank you for your explanation regarding how to properly reply on DevForums — I just realized how the Reply vs Comment mechanism works here! Regarding your question, the oldest submission that is currently stuck in "In Progress" was submitted on 2025-11-07T03:41:51.182Z (id: 2d00b75a-a17a-44fc-afa1-71e0e39ec2cd, name: BFone.zip). This submission was for notarizing another team's app. After that, we submitted four additional notarization requests for our own apps, and all of them have also remained in "In Progress" since then. We understand that some submissions may be held for in-depth analysis, but this has now been more than 5 days and is blocking our queue. We urgently need to notarize our own apps in order to deliver them to our customers. We would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide to clear or reset the queue so that we can continue submitting our apps. Thank you again for your help!

Sorry, I don’t know why I can’t reply to your post, so I have to create a new one to continue the discussion — this issue is quite urgent for us. Yes, our situation is the former: we submitted another team's software to the notary service using our own Apple Developer account. Their team's own notarization attempt(using their own account) was later rejected after 2-3 days, but the submission that we made for them under our account has now been stuck in the "In Progress" state for more than 4 days. Since then, all our subsequent notarization requests have also remained stuck and cannot proceed. It seems the stuck submission might be blocking the queue for our account. Could you please help us clear or reset the notarization queue so that we can continue submitting our own apps? It's very important for us! Thank you very much!
