At a high-level, what we would like to know is whether it is allowed to build a web extensions that can allow external connection from any website? If no, where is this documented? If yes, how can we enable this in the config? Thanks in advance!

We're facing the same issue in our CMake generated frameworks.... Your explanation was very helpful as indeed, with CMake we only generate one arch at a time.... I hope some workaround can be found.
