Reply to Failed to find a DDI
Hello, Ed, Sorry to jump in here too… ;-) I have the same problem after upgrading to Xcode Version 26.0 (17A324). Thanks for mentioning the full command, until now, I had never used the command line for Xcode. The output states that several DeveloperDiskImages are too old: file:///Library/Developer/DeveloperDiskImages/iOS_DDI/ file:///Library/Developer/DeveloperDiskImages/tvOS_DDI/ file:///Library/Developer/DeveloperDiskImages/watchOS_DDI/ file:///Library/Developer/DeveloperDiskImages/xrOS_DDI/ "incompatibleContentReason: The DDI's CoreDevice content is too old." Is it safe to delete them — and hope/pray that they would get properly replaced automatically? Thanks ;-) PS: Actually, this is exactly what I will do — and see what will happen…

Reply to Updated my Apple Watch to watchOS 26 beta to test it — can't pair it now after downgrading iPhone
Hello, Kroznek, You could try to deactivate Developer Mode on Watch in the Privacy and Security Settings. It might be necessary to re-install iOS 26 first (again, I know) to achieve this properly. Once you took the Developer Mode off on Watch, re-install iOS 18.x, Watch might (!) work with the release version of iOS 18.x again. If not, wait a week or two, the betas usually get better very quickly… Good luck ;-)

Reply to Sample code for WWDC25 Session
Hello, David, Thank you very much for bringing this up, I also had a look for it and could not find it yet. Perhaps, they just forgot to put the link onto the page… As you know, it is always difficult to reach Apple for things like that — please feel free to file a bug report on this. Put "WWDC25" in the title — and complain. No joke. They will read this ;-) And please come back here and post the number of your bug report here too. Also no joke. They will read this ;-) I will do the same now, I already mentioned it in the online/DeveloperApp survey. See you ;-) UPDATE: My Feedback ID is FB18100457

Hi, KMT, Still keeping your nice record ;-) They did a decent job on mobile devices. It looks so much better on iPad and even iPhones. We both know that we are hanging around here for more than five years, but never mind ;-) “Pacific Rim” region, nice… See you ;-)

My dear friend KMT, incredible that you are still around after all these years ;-) Still remember the last Developer Forum change back then turning it into something almost unusable, pushing good people to giving and searching advise on StackOverflow and elsewhere… I just hope that they did it right this time, maybe it will even work well on mobile devices…

Thanks for asking. Alive and kicking. Actually, I am very keen on publishing my very first app on the App Store this year. Really? Yes, I have just been trying to get better since 2008, starting with Apple sample code “Hello World” back then… No joke. 2020 is a very good year for this now, having made the switch to Swift from Objective-c two years ago, now to SwiftUI that I love a lot. By now, Apple has invented pretty much any technology and API that I would need for my project. Excellent. Yes, I know, somewhat late to the party, but still enjoying being around here A LOT ;-) I owe “you guys of the very first hour” a lot, without people like you (and Apple engineers like Eskimo1) I would not have made it so far ;-)

Reply to Reality Composer 3D character animation import
@GraphicsAndGamesEngineer Excellent, this is exactly what I have been looking for ;-) Are USD files playing animations always automatically and straight away? Nice that by the glTF export from Blender the animations would be preserved… Can I trigger these animations later programmatically after having imported them (that is, the USD file) into a SceneKit scene? Thanks ;-)
