I have a Studio M1 Max with 64Gb, but my external is a G-Force 500Gb. A fellow developer in AZ has a M1 Mac mini wiht 16 Gb and a 1Tb external drive, his works with beta 2, so it would appear a drive size issue. I will try a 1TB G-Force drive, but this is a big time sink to figure out!
