No bug filed, just couldn't make it work and then I figured out that EnergyKit appears to be limited to car manufactures and thermostat original equipment manufacturers (based on Additional Terms for the use of EnergyKit), so I'm probably out here as an individual developer. Crack me if I'm wrong.
