How does SwiftData work with background operations? CoreData had background context that could be used to avoid UI hang for heavy operations. Is there an equivalent in SwiftData, and if so, do I have to merge changes or does it save directly to persistent store?

Any logical reason why applying .sharedBackgroundVisibility(.hidden) to a ToolbarItem would not remove the spacing allocated for glass border? Thus causing any element utilizing this functionality to appear offset from the regular buttons. Or is this yet another magical Apple experience I am not blessed enough to understand.

I am noticing an issue that when .popoverTip() is presented, any tap gesture will only dismiss the tip and will not be passed down. This means that if tip is applied to a button, tapping the button will only dismiss the tip but will not trigger the action. Which logically breaks user expectation and defeats the whole point of a popover tip, as user will need to tap twice on the button to activate intended functionality. Why would it not allow to set the value in the init statement. The @Model allows this and as I understand it also acts as an @Observable.

I have a SwiftData application that is using CloudKit. If user is on new device. How can I check and fetch data, instead of just waiting for it happen on its own randomly? For example, I have onboarding which I do not want user to go through again if they already have an active installation. Seems like SwiftData is severely limited in pretty much every way, specially any useful CloudKit debugging or control functionality.

If Cloudkit is enabled, SwiftData @Query operation hangs when the View scenePhase becomes active. Seems like the more @Query calls you have, the more it hangs.
