Reply to Unable to debug with console.log in Safari on iOS 16.4 Simulator.
Could this be related? https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/804340 Are you trying to do this on localhost (or some other http site, as opposed to an https site?) If so, I'm running into the same problem (over two years later). I can use the web inspector for HTTPS sites in the simulator, and console.log works. I cannot use it for HTTP sites in the simulator; console.log doesn't print anything at all. Definitely used to work, though. Maybe it's because I was using an older simulator for a while.

Reply to Web inspector only works with HTTPS contexts in iOS simulator
If this is documented behavior, I can't find any reference to it. When the console opens, there is no indication anywhere that it's not allowed in an insecure context. It's almost like it's just loading indefinitely, in a "blank" state.
