Comment on MagSafe LED does not reflect user-defined charging limit (optimized battery charging)
Wow, this is honestly mind-blowing! 🤯 I’m just a first-year CSE student, and learning about stuff like this amazes me so much. It’s crazy to realize there are people out there doing such cool, detailed work behind the scenes-making these small but powerful improvements. Seriously inspiring. Makes me want to learn more and get there someday 😊🙏🏼

Thanks for the response! Yes, I’ve filed this as feedback — FB22468514. I understand the LED is likely controlled at a low hardware/firmware level, separate from the OS. From a user perspective, though, it feels a bit confusing. The system stops charging at the set limit, but the LED still shows amber, suggesting charging is ongoing. I get there may not be a workaround, but it felt worth highlighting. If this could be aligned in the future, it would improve clarity. Appreciate your insight!

Thank you so much! 😊 It’s such a wonderful feeling to know that my observations will actually be put into practice. As a computer science student myself, you all are my heroes who solve problems. I would love to connect and learn more about how the problems are actually solved.

Got it — the issue is your reply is below the minimum length, not above. You need to add ~140 more characters.
