Hi eskimo, first of all thank you for all the info that you provide replying to questions. Here you are saying that it's possible to create a resource timeout with NSTimer, especially for the background session case. But I cannot understand why it's needed. Are you able to elaborate on that? I'm trying to fix a quite strange problem I have when the application enters background (see https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/696762?page=1#698926022). Hi Joachim, below some additionally info on the trace: task 20 does not belong to the same host of the timeout failure / tasks 180 and 182 time out at minute 5.25 and 5.55 but the same endpoint completes correctly with task 184 at minute 6.25.
