Same - was fine using LG 4k wide monitor until plugged ipad into USB c connected to external monitor. Selected to change the input accidentally to the Ipad and when switched back everything was gone. Had to connect back to usb c to ipad, unplug connection and reset input to hdmi before it 'rediscovered'
