FWIW I realised that this UI is for subscribing, not redeeming promotional offers, so apparently won't work if user is already subscribed to that sub that you're attempting to apply a promo offer on. I didn't find documentation super clear.

thanks Joe, but there doesn't seem to be a great deal of caching going on... why not expose an artwork.image object we can cache ourselves?
