Well it's been a few days for me. Both charges have ceased to be pending - they have twice the money they should have from me, for a single service on the same account. It's embarrassing that they event allow this without a check against the account ID for the subscription period. I wouldn't even mention this if their support had been helpful. I have contacted my bank instead, and I strongly recommend everyone else experiencing double charges from Apple do the same, as they will both clear.
