I've got the same problem at the moment with a LazyVGrid and I found someone on Stack Overflow has used negative vertical padding on the background. Edit - sorry, I've just read you posted the same SO link. I guess I could ask whether adding the background colour to the LazyVGrid will keep the lazy behaviour?
