I understand not wanting to implement this due to possible misuses, but Apple should at least 'license' the feature in order to trace any possible misuse. As a web professional, and game developer I wouldn't mind paying a yearly license to allow fullscreen on iPhones for my projects. Nothing too extortionate of course, but I'm sure I'm not alone that would be willing to do it.
